In formal writing after certain adverbs: "Peut-être viendra-t-il." After "à peine... que": "À peine était-il arrivé qu'il partit." Also after "aussi" at start of clause.
Why
Add -t- between vowel-ending verb and il/elle/on: "Va-t-il ?" "A-t-elle ?"
