Where do object pronouns go in a French sentence?

Before the verb: "Je le vois" (I see him). Before the auxiliary in compound tenses: "Je l'ai vu" (I saw him).
Why
Order: me, te, se, nous, vous → le, la, les → lui, leur → y → en. Two pronouns at once follow this order strictly.
